The WISE consortium envisages a new kind of international school. Each of the member and partner organization brings not only their programs, but also their experiences, passions, and qualifications. Each of the members has deep experience in their respective fields of Education, whether in academics, science & technology, sport, wellness, art, music, and more. And together they are determined to create a school in Japan that is a destination for internationally relevant learning.
Motoyasu was born in Kagoshima, Japan. He has 10 years experience in the semiconductor industry as an engineer, a sales manager, and Vice President of Marketing in Field Programmable Gate Array sales, support, and asset management. In the IT industry he achieved sales in excess of $100M. Following that, Motoyasu became an independent business management consultant. He has most recently designed and established Yumekana Kids, an early childhood education center, and Lasalle Studyroom, a preparatory school for entrance examinations.
Momoyo has experience in music-al theatre, and she graduated with a degree in Education. She worked as a stylist, an independent tour conductor, and she provides consulting services for individual and corporate development. Additionally, Momoyo coordinates health food manufacturing, organizes contests, conducts seminars, and provides lectures in personal growth, wellness, and development. She is a producer for both individuals and companies, and she facilitates both preschool education and career guidance.
Gareth came to Japan in the late 1980s. Previously, he taught chemistry, mathematics, and Japanese in Australia with a degree in Chemistry and Microbiology and Australian teaching qualifications. He entered Meiji University and focused on his MA and PhD studies. He later worked as a linguist for 30 years in Japanese companies, from the head office of Mizuho Bank to small investor relations firms. His specialties include bilingual contract negotiations, preparation of PR and advertising materials, integrated reports, CSR reports, governance reports, and technical translation.
With over 30 years in the field of international education, Greg is a seasoned & passionate professional in the field. An active member of the UNESCO Chair on Global Education, he has been involved in building & delivering meaningful learning experiences from primary to post secondary levels. With 20 years experience in the Canadian context, & over 10 in Japan, he has worked with students from around the world, visited their home countries, and both supported and led the development, direction, and accreditation of the schools in which they chose to pursue their studies.
