The WISE flagship, SWIS begins a five year plan starting in Spring of 2023. With SWIS, the objective of WISE is to provide transformative learning to people from all parts of the world. SWIS offers globally relevant education in an environment offering exciting possibilities & opportunities in academics, applied sciences, sports, fine, & performing arts. Located in Japan, one of the most advanced centers of human activity, SWIS is a center of the best human endeavour.

SWIS is a destination school on the southern tip of the safe, spectacular, environmentally & socio-economically rich Izu Peninsula. At SWIS, creativity, innovative thought, and action are encouraged and facilitated in context, through ideation, design, application, and validation. It is a center for conceiving & incubating relevant ideas for real-world application locally, regionally, & globally. From 2023, SWIS offers full-time online & short-term onsite programs. Full year onsite opportunities begin September 2026 in Secondary & Post-Secondary education and training.

Seasonal & Full Time Programs

SWIS offers a range of seasonal and full time seasonal programs for primary and secondary students. For those seeking full time Secondary School studies, SWIS will begin online, enrolling students to the SWIS Virtual High School program from September 2023. This program, powered by some of the most experienced and qualified educators in the world, will pave the way to the full and entirely unique onsite Boarding School facility scheduled to open its doors in 2028. Beginning 2023, SWIS offers semi-synchronous online studies with residency options at WISE’s Ocean Vibes facility in Simoda multiple times each year.

SWIS offers Spring, Summer, Fall, & Winter programs for Kids, and Teens. We offer design, engineering, & technology programs that exercise students’ ability to build and create, adventure programs that bring them into natural environments to learn about science, conservation, and survival, and a variety of water and team sport opportunities, including professionally led soccer and ocean sports (paddle boarding, snorkelling, & surfing). The SWIS Summer Camp is a 7 week program emphasizes communication, skills building, engagement, & problem solving. Included are classroom-based, experiential, hands on learning projects, activities, sports, & outings. All seasonal programs are held in Tokyo and at the SWIS Ocean Vibes facility.
